Shards of Caladbolg - OOC Info and Signups
Hey guys! Ashley here with a big ol' info post explaining just how this event is going to work.
Last month, Trahearne recovered the magical sword Caladbolg - or at least, what was left of it. Now the other pieces of the sword have started appearing around Aifaran, and he needs help recovering them. This is basically going to be a scavenger hunt, totally open to how you'd like your character to interact with this plot.
There's going to be just as many shards of Caladbolg to find as there are people interested in participating. Individuals or groups are both welcome. You basically have four options: (1) coming up with your own scenario as a prompt for one of your posts (ala the special Arts 5 affinity this month), (2) coming up with your own scenario that I DM for you, (3) I give you a random scenario that you use as a prompt, or (4) I give you a random scenario and also DM it for you.
This plot doesn't have a strict time frame, so I'm not putting a limit on when these threads need to be over - I'll continue tagging into them as long as everyone is interested in continuing, even after December is over. I am going to assume that each shard will be given to Trahearne afterward, but you do have the option of refusing to hand over the shard you've found. Just let me know if if that's the case, but expect Trahearne to eventually come knocking looking for it.
I'll be putting up a log for everyone who asks for a scenario and giving out links to the threads you requested. If you opt to include finding a shard in one of your own prompts, please leave a link for me in this post so I can keep track of who has a shard.
